I can’t even begin to tell you what wonderful weather we have had here the last week, it feels like summer (actually, you never know, it might be our summer! )
In my post Spring cleaningΒ a month ago, I cleaned up the wall around my raised flowerbeds. After this, my patio looked a little forlorn π¦ probably wondering if I had forgotten all about it.
Well I’m happy to say that with this great – and I mean GREAT weather – the perfect opportunity presented itself for a little patio TLC.
He never knew what hit him, before he had time to take a breath, he was stripped bare of furniture, plants and stuff.
One proper clean-up with cleaner and a pressure washer, and my patios hair was standing up in pure shock.
Well we couldn’t have any of that, could we! So next day when everything was dried, out came the sanding paper and my Black and Decker sanding mouse. Throw in a few hours of “elbow crease” and my patio was smooth as a baby’s bottom π
Fast forward a couple of days, and about 40 minutes ago I finished putting on the last lick of oil!
The patio is positively radiant! Happy as a clam, in mud at high tide π
And here it is! Before and after – and a couple of more, for good measures π
Wow, really a good job!! π

It looks absolutely great! Such good job on your part and now you can enjoy it all summer (let’s hope it’ll be just like this! I am always so afraid that when e have good weather early on we will run out of sunshine by the time it’s time for vacation. Hopefully it doesn’t work that way! :))

I am super impressed! The difference is amazing – now there is persistence and focus to be admired! I mowed my back garden yesterday – does that count?! π

Hey, everything counts π I bet you I looks better and if nothing else there is a tiny sense of accomplishment? π

True! I actually call it hoovering the lawn, as I think it has the same effect as hoovering the carpets in the house. It makes everything look tidier!

Lol, that’s funny – would you believe I actually DID hover the patio after I had sanded it down?

Thank you π I love doing things like this, when the results are great! Most everything in my garden has been done by me with a bit (quite a bit, ok a LOT) of muscle help from a friend π and O must say, I’m proud of what we have accomplished (even though it’s taken years of work)..,
