A bump in the road!

Hi there!

I’m sorry I’ve been out of touch. I caught that dreaded winter cold, which put me out of commission for a few days 😦

I’m all better now 😉 so the last couple of days I’ve been trying to put together a post. For some reason, every time I sit down to write it, what ends up on “paper” is NOT even close to what I originally intended to write… it’s like my mind have an agenda on it’s own…!!!

And guess what, the result is a bunch of unfinished posts!

I’m coming to realise I might just have to let that topic, I’ve been mulling around, go… at least this time around, and maybe just write about something different, a lighter topic maybe?

So here I am, trying to get my ducks in a row…

While I’m figuring this out, please hang in there 🙂

PS. How do you guys handle “road bumps” in your writing?

I just take a break. I have a tendency get lost and caught up in my own thoughts, and I have found that If my head isn’t clear, neither is my writing. When that happens, I just give myself some time to breathe without being so contemplative about everything.

I find that almost everything i write is not as to the point as i intend them to be, which is very disturbing because i dont know if people see my posts as scattered in thought as i am, or if i am making some sense. I also start more posts than i finish….. Good to have you back on uour feet!

At one point, I had 80+ draft posts awaiting completion. Does that answer your question?

And I haven’t posted the last 2 days either. No reason, just being a bit lax. It’s like a mini vacation.

80+ ? Guess I’m not in as much “trouble” after all 😉 I think I have about 16-17 or so…

It’s funny how just writing about a seemingly simple topic, sometimes can turn your world upside down! That’s what the last couple of days writing have done to me… which is why I need a moment, to get my ducks back in a row… 😉

Guess I might end up with a few more drafts in the process… hopefully not to the 80+ thought 😉

I seem to be in the same position as you, getting through illness and unable to focus on one thing. I guess we just need some time or else we will stop wanting to write. I am sure your readers will be interested to read whatever you blog when you finally publish it. In my own case, I was considering just putting up a few pictures with captions until I manage to sound coherent again.
