I have this beautiful oriental cabinet, sitting in the middle of my Scandinavian style furniture.
Of all things in this wold to use it for, I keep a lot of catalogues and brochures, papers, manuals and bills in it. It’s also the place I put all papers I keep through the year, before they get archived away, come tax time 🙂 I might also put some of my magazine cut outs in here as well, oh yes, and the town-house community correspondence (I’m on the board.. actually thinking about it, I think, I am the board 😉 )
So you see, my little cabinet, is in a sense – my office storage.
Today I decided to go through some of the brochures, cut outs and manuals. The regular paper cleanup, is a March/April job, while preparing for tax time.

Minimalist Sometimes 
I was afraid you were going to say you got rid of the cabinet! I too have a china cabinet, although mine is a circa 1983 honey oak monstrosity with brass accents. While it may not be the prettiest piece of furniture in the house, it’s one of the most practical. A few years ago I decided to use it for craft storage. I filled the glass shelves with beautiful boxes and baskets to house (and hide!) all of the kids’ craft supplies since we always end up at the dining room table doing crafts anyway. Best repurposing I’ve done yet!

Oh no, I wouldn’t get rid of the cabinet. I love the piece, brought over all the way from England years ago. And it’s really practical, even though it’s not that big. Your cabinet sounds really cool, picture please 🙂 I’m picturing all the pretty boxes and baskets 😉

Its amazing how papers sneak into our house and find their way into piles in nooks and crannies….I still blame the gnomes!

lol I have a drawer waiting for the same thing! I got an external harddrive and folders set up in my computer…now I just need to sit and scan 😦 lol

Me too, pretty much ready.. Just need to get around to it, but as you probably have noticed, I just have a couple of other data tasks to get out of the way first 😉

YEPP, one step at the time 😉
Might still take me most of the year though, I sure have a lot of “digital/digitising” stuff to sort out (like terabytes of data, loads of paper, even more photos)…
I am hoping to be paper free AND having my digital world completely under control sometime during this year, at least that is the plan 😉
