The streets of Stavanger – my home town!

Back inΒ 2014 a group of people decided to make a video from my hometown, with the help of a drone.

Today I was reminded of this video through a “memory” on facebook, and I thought I would share this quick peak of Stavanger, with you.

The footage is taken early in the morning (sun is coming up) which is why the streets are really empty.

Here it is – the video of “Stavangergatene”!

Enjoy πŸ™‚

πŸ™‚ The white buildings in the beginning of the video are from “Old Stavanger“, it’s a historic area with houses from 18 and early 19th century. Parts of old Stavanger is protected because of its history and age. I almost bought a tiny house there once (when I was really young).. but it needed a lot of work and money (which I didn’t have). I kinda regret that I never got it.. as I would have loved a tiny house there now πŸ™‚ The street with the pastel colours, are called “Fargegata” (the colourful street)… it’s become a trendy street for small little cafes, bars and specialty shops. It’s my hairdresser who has been the one driving the “project” to do something special with this street.

Stavanger has cute little streets, great restaurants, a bunch of tiny cafes, a harbour area to sit down and eat and drink, loads of stores, short ways to the beach, areas to walk, sail, hike… and so on. It’s a great city to belong to.

If you ever want to come for a visit, let me know and I’ll show you around πŸ™‚
